Get to know St. Paul’s

St. Paul’s First Lutheran Church is a congregation of individuals and families that believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the only authority for our Christian faith and life. In His great love for us, God sent His Son Jesus Christ to be our Savior. We are saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. In Him we enjoy the forgiveness of sins, peace with God and a certain hope for heaven.

Our church is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). To learn more about WELS, please visit their website,

Common Questions

St. Paul’s First Lutheran Church is located in North Hollywood, California near the corner of Tujunga Avenue and Magnolia Avenue, across from the North Hollywood Amelia Earhart Regional Library and Park. We are located within blocks of the Red Line, Orange Line and the 170 and 101 freeways.
God cares more about how your heart looks on the inside than you do on the outside. When you dress, simply remember that you are coming into God’s house.
The entrance to the parking lot on Sunday mornings and Saturday evenings is located off of Bakman Avenue in the back of the school campus. Please utilize street parking on mid-week services but be aware of posted parking sign restrictions.
Children are welcomed at our service! However, if needed, there is a nursery available for children 0-4 years of age.
Bulletins are provided from the usher as you enter.
Near the end of the services, the ushers pass a collection plate to receive our offering to the Lord. All monies received are used for the advancement of God’s Word. All are invited to participate in the offering, but no one, especially our guests, should feel obligated to give.
After each Sunday morning service we have a time of light food and fellowship in Faith Hall (Gym). This provides a wonderful time for everyone to get to know one another and enjoy each other’s company.
