Special School Programs and Activities
Children's Christmas Service
The children of our Christian Day School share the Christmas story and sing God?s praises in two special festival services before Christmas. These worship services filled with joyous Christmas songs, Gospel-filled recitations, and children's instrumental music are one of the highlights of our Christmas season. These two week night services are in the weeks preceding Christmas.
Mission Offering Projects
The faculty of our school organizes four special mission projects during the school year in which our school children, families, and congregation can learn more about ministry projects outside of our congregation, give special prayers for these ministries, and support these projects with their financial gifts. Periodically, informative presentations and guest speakers share unique news and highlights of these projects. Look for opportunities and announcements to join in the support of our mission offering projects.
Campus Work Days
Saturday work days are regular activities for our Board of Trustees. The unending tasks of maintenance, refurbishing, painting, and upkeep need the manpower of many volunteers. Your participation by providing a lending hand for a couple hours once a month can help us keep our campus in good condition to the glory of God. Work days are published in our weekly and monthly calendars.
Kindergarten Celebration
A highlight of the end of our school year is the Kindergarten Celebration in which our "kindy kids" celebrate their first full year of formal Christian education in our Christian Day School. This afternoon activity on the first Sunday in June involves a stage performance by the kindergarteners and a time to share the kindy routine highlights of the past school year.
School Music Program
St. Paul's is blessed to have a first class music program for children from preschool to 8th grade. Special music instruction is part of the curriculum, as well as three vocal choirs, 3 handbell choirs, two instrumental bands, and more. The school musical groups will perform at the Fall Festival, NoHo Festival, and an area concert, and share in worship in our church services. An excellent school musical is presented every spring by our school children. The climax of the music program is the annual Spring Concert at the end of each school year.
