K4 Program – Early Christian Education At St. Paul’s First Lutheran School
K4 Program Overview
The children have a similar program of activity and instruction to our kindergarten. The K4-Kindergarten program and teacher will coordinate closely with the Kindergarten program and teacher. The curriculum models instructional material and activities currently used in transitional kindergarten programs in various schools.
The core of the curriculum is Scholastic Big Day For PreK comprehensive curriculum designed specifically for this age level. The Pre-Kindergarten is integrated with our elementary school. Parents of four year olds have the option of enrolling their child in the Preschool or the Pre-Kindergarten depending on the needs of the child and the goals of the parent. Generally speaking, preschool enrollment can be tailored to the needs of the parent, whereas, the kindergarten enrollment is tailored to meeting the child development goals of the Pre- Kindergarten.
Age requirement: Children must be 4 years of age by September 1 of each year.
