THE ARTS AT ST. PAUL’S FIRST LUTHERAN SCHOOL

While other schools are cutting their Music and Drama programs, we are growing them!  St. Paul’s First Lutheran School is committed to the arts and has a full-time music director on staff.  Check out our facebook page videos.

An array of musical offerings and experiences are made available to all grade levels. Children in Kindergarten through grade 6 have multiple instructional music classes each week. In these classes, the children learn the art of singing as well as the fundamentals of music theory in a fun and engaging methodology.

Students in grades 7-8 are required to take a music elective.

Each school year culminates with a Spring Concert in which all students in all musical programs showcase what they’ve learned

Drama Program

Drama is closely linked to music, and so the St. Paul’s music program features a spring musical. The faculty has an ongoing rotation of grade levels that prepare and present the annual musical. Our music director, Mr. Karl Bauer, and our drama coordinator, Miss Jan Stone, work diligently to produce a high quality stage production that give students of all ages an opportunity to perform under the lights. Past productions have included, “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown,” “Snoopy,” “I Need A Vacation,” “E.I.E.I. Oops!”, “Cinderella,” and “Wizard of Oz.”
